Hi, I'm Mel. This business started with a whole lot of heart & a fair bit of chaos (the fun kind).

Deep Cuts and Layers is built around my two biggest inspirations, Reece and Ella, and fuelled by a lifelong love of creating. Whether it’s a heartfelt gift, something geeky and fun, or a custom job no one else wants to touch, I’m all in.

My workspace is a mix of cuddles and cables, with equipment for multicolour 3D printing, stickers, garment transfers, canvas printing and more. I also operate four types of laser for cutting, engraving and permanent marking across a wide range of materials

I’m always experimenting, testing, and tweaking to bring ideas to life — no matter how weird or wonderful.

Everything sold here is created locally in Yarrawonga. No drop shipping, no mass production

Most designs begin as something I wanted for myself — a gift idea, a problem to solve, or just a “why doesn’t this exist yet?” moment. If it’s good enough to keep, it’s good enough to sell.
